The work that I have done this semester proves that I have met the learning outcomes even though I have had some difficulties. In the beginning I felt that I was unprepared for college level English because I didn’t know what to expect. Now we’re already at midterm I feel as if I am prepared to take on whatever comes next in this English class. In this cover letter I will talk about the learning outcomes. My evidence for this cover letter that have written will be the essays I have written so far or anything else I have written for this class. For example, in my ENG 098 class I have used the writing process such as generating multiple drafts. I stated in essay 1, “I didn’t receive any feedback from peers but I did receive, feedback from teachers, only when I asked for it. I also didn’t provide feedback because of my shyness.” I have never liked working with others because I am very shy and quiet. So if someone didn’t hear me I would hate to have to repeat myself which wouldn’t put me in the best moods. During this semester I have learned that peer review isn’t so bad. For essay 2, we had a peer review and instead of talking to the person’s paper you were reading we just got to write comments on Word. I received some very good feedback that helped me with my paper. Peer review has given me a positive outlook on asking others to read your paper for ideas and help for revising the essay itself. In essay 1, I also received some great feedback from my teacher which I think helped me more than the information I received from my peers. When revising a paper you’re creating multiple drafts which I’ve never liked to do. In high school I didn’t use to generate multiple drafts but since I’ve been in college I’ve noticed I have made a lot more drafts and they have helped me with making sure everything in my paper makes sense and is organized
