Reflection On Blog Entry 2 Dixie: The Power Of Words

A poem or a story begins with a word. But how do you begin? The writing process is just as important as the products that result from it. What methods, habits, and approaches do you find helpful as you write? What is already working for you, and what would you like to do differently? For a week or so, take note of your own writing habits. Think about these questions as you write is what I used to do my blogs for seminar one. I kept all of this in mind will I was writing my blogs for the first week (1_Longman_CW pgs_i-viii(1).pdf). To me, staying focus when I am writing is hard. I have to keep in mind what is working for me.

People just went by the blind guy dropping a little money at first. They didn’t read his sign. A lady comes by and changes the wording of the sign. She has changed the sign from it, saying that I am blind, please help to it’s a beautiful day out and I can’t see it. She had changed the way the people were giving him their change. When the lady was writing on the sign the blind man felt her shoes. The lady leaves and returns, he feels her shoes again to make sure it’s the same lady. Then he asked her what she has done to his sign. The lady told him she wrote the same thing, but word it differently. She had changed up the sign to say “What a beautiful day out and I can’t see it”. I found that by up changing the words on the blind man’s sign that the lady helped him make more change from the people that was passing by. I felt this was a very good visual story. I think that this might really help me in this course. I find that I am a boring writer, so if I could use this to help improve my writing skills then I will be a better
