Idea 1:
The black box activity demonstrated two concepts of science, the first was the Nature of Science. This refers to the main principles and concepts that define science. It discusses the characteristics found in scientific knowledge, along with a variety of concepts such as bias, uncertainty, limitations, and reliability.
Idea 2:
Another concept that was illustrated through the black box activity was Inference vs. Observation. This activity required the participants to use Scientific Inquiry and the Scientific Method to formulate a process of examination on the black box. They were required to make observations and revisit steps to gather data, before forming inferences based on prior knowledge and the gathered information.

Therefore, it is important to incorporate different concepts or culturally relevant activities and ideas into the lesson. This will allow the students to form connections and relationships with their own experiences and prior knowledge. Additionally, students are able to experience the views and ideas of different cultures, comparing them to their own.
