Through the eyes of shella

These are the journal entries of a 10 year old girl named shella. These entries portray the feelings of this young girl and act as the sole account of what happened to this town.

Last night I was looking out my window when I saw it. It was not like blthzr but it seemed friendly and I liked its purple color. I was so close that I could touch it. But there was glass in the way. It almost seemed like it wanted me to touch it. It kept rubbing up against the window. Sadly I could not concede to its desire because my mom told me not to open any doors or windows so I just watched it till I fell asleep. When I woke up blthzr was there. But the purple thing was gone. I was about to ask blthzr where it went when he started to speak. Not wanting to be rude, I decided I would ask later and promptly propped my head on my hands to listen to blthzr. “Shella” blthzr’s voice was calm as usual, but seemed more sharp than last time we spoke. I wonder if something is bothering him. “May I come in?” O how I wanted to say yes because I missed him but my mom was strict with her order so reluctantly I had to say no. At first blthzr seemed puzzled but I explained to him what my mom said and he understood. In fact he seemed pleased because after the news he informed me he would come back later before turning and walking away with glee in his

At 5:30 AM, the young, naive, Jenny Drpich is all dressed up finally ready to leave her home and head to her job for the first time. On her way, she grabbed a copy of West Australian newspaper, a leftover of cinnamon bun from last night and a freshly brewed cup of Long Black Arabica. The placidness of her home is unwieldy; the constant sound of the dead air seems remind her of pure elation of her little farmhouse in upper Swan Valley. These reminiscing values seem to ponder in her mind as she heads out of the driveway. It was a heinous drive from her house to the suburb.…

July-Day 18 I can barely pull myself out of bed today, it's cold outside the blankets that have kept me safe since my descent to dreamland where I have been since 6:30 PM. I've slept for 12 hours and I want to keep sleeping. I want to stay in bed where nothing happens to any extremes. I dreamt of lighthouses and the light it casts out over the clear blue gulf sending a signal of safety to those passing by. I wonder about all the things that are like lighthouses to me.…

It was a night like most others in the abandoned ghost town. All I saw was darkness and shadows creeping around every corner. I heard the howls of coyotes and the hooting of owls through the midnight air. The whistling wind rang the rusty, wind chimes dangling from the old run-downed mansion. The sign above read “Muddy Creek Manor”.…

01 Reunion It was still seven o'clock in the morning but the rain had begun to fall, and the droplets hitting the asphalt and the wood fences of houses, could be heard through the excruciating silence of the street. The place was all that could be expected of Amber Bay: discreet, simple, but with an air of refinement. The streets, dotted with orange leaves, were quickly taken by the fog of an unexpected rain. Spite of its facade be painted in a dark red tone, the white windows with thin traces of some old gold paint, beyond the small garden that was in front, softened the hot color of the building.…

We arrived in the middle of the night, almost in secret. When we were a couple miles away, we could see dimmed lights up ahead. The closer we got, the brighter they shined our way.
