Queer And Baffling Murder In William Shakespeare's Hamlet

Considered one of Denmark's most queer and baffling murder cases in the late middle ages, starting with the unforeseen death of King Hamlet from there the royal family’s empire came crumbling down falling into their own demise.

The chief advisor Polonius of King Claudius and the previous King Hamlet, had two children Laertes and Ophelia whom were very close to the royal family mainly with Prince Hamlet.

The current king of Denmark King Claudius and brother to the former King Hamlet, married to the Queen Gertrude and uncle/stepfather to Prince Hamlet.

The first victim of Hamlet is Polonius, died due to a stab wound. After the first killing, the second victim, Laertes killed by the prince from a poisoned stab wound during a dual. The final victim and the only one not killed by a stab wound, however, King Claudius drank poisoned wine which Hamlet forced upon him. Followed by the king’s death, Hamlet then proceeds to kill himself.

None of the members of the royal family survived the strange mass homicide except for Horatio ,a loyal servant to the prince, whom duty was to tell Hamlet’s story.

Acting in the king’s best interest Polonius was eavesdropping on Hamlet's conversation with his mother, due to the unusual behavior he has been displaying since the recent death of his father. In the midst of the conversation Polonius heard the queen's cry for help, but when he made a sound Hamlet stab him with his rapier. Afterwards the Queen confessed to King Claudius that Hamlet had intentionally murdered Polonius, then dragged the corpse to an unknown location. Friends of the royal family attempted to persuade Hamlet to confess to his crimes, and to disclose to them the location of the Polonius’s corpse, but Hamlet would not divulge the information, but instead taunted them with riddles.
