However, being inspired over the years by an outstanding female has changed my whole point of view about my dream. This outstanding woman is Queen Latifah. What many people don’t know about Queen is that other than being an actress, singer, and a rapper, she’s also an entrepreneur. She debuted her own clothing line called the Queen Collection on the Home Shopping Network (HSN) in August 2011. The only difference between what Queen did and what I want to do is that she ventured in the female part of the Industry which is not what I am going to be doing. This is because of my two sons and also because it will be more profitable to venture in the boys (tweens) part of the industry. Research from “The Network Journal” online showed an article called “The Queen Collection” by Ann Brown which described how Queen did a similar expansion of sizes in her clothing for everyone; which is what I want to do for tweens. “The clothes will have a large range of sizes, from 2 to 24.” (The Queen, para.3). The plan after the review is quite simple. If the review is good, then I will open more stores and promote the company by advertising in order to attract a wider variety of people. As to the second step of the company, is to maintain what we produce to the customers in order to keep them loyal to the company. The aim after those two steps have been accomplished is the most difficult one of all the steps. This is the step to go global. A book called the “Business Transformation” by Aiman Zeid and Jim Davis is being used as a guide to achieving this last step.
