Entrepreneurs Shawn Buckwalter, Christine Fenske, and Dawn Lowden have invested $100,000 each, to help startup Queen Bee boutiques.
As a new business in manufacturing and merchandizing, Queen Bee boutiques realizes their obligation to give back not only to the community but also the planet. Because they firmly believe in reducing their carbon footprint, they will be purchasing environmentally friendly equipment and exploring alternative resources to operate Queen Bee boutiques. Therefore, the owners of Queen Bee boutiques have elected to file under the B Corporation status.
Location
Queen Bee boutique will operate out of Wyoming for the following reasons; first, there are no personal income and corporate income taxes, thus allowing Queen Bee boutiques to be more competitive in the market. Second, Wyoming’s Workforce Development Services provides training grants from $1,500 to $4,000 per employee per year for technical training upgrades. Finally, electrical rates are approximately 21 percent below national averages; respectfully, natural gas is about 18 percent

Queen Bee boutiques set themselves apart from their competition by providing a book bag filled with supplies to a child in need for every tote, handbag or purse sold. Unlike other bag companies that are known for large logos, Queen Bee boutiques recognize the trend toward simple and creative designs. Luxury bags and book bags are adorned with a subtle Queen Bee logo. Notepaper, pencils, and other school supplies that fill each book bag, carry the Queen Bee logo as well.
