Abstract/Significant of the study.
Undergraduate nurses form a pool from which upon graduation, nurses are drawn to the different career pathways of nursing practice, ensuring a sustained supply of competent nursing staffs here in Australia and other western developed countries. The failure of mental health nursing to draw a reasonable number of new nursing graduates towards a career in mental health has been of great concern globally.
