I. Evaluation and Its Importance
The evaluation stage has purpose and importance. The evaluation process is important because it allows the worker and client to reflect on the work that has been done and see how the client has achieved his/her goals; additionally, it allows the client to determine how effective the intervention practice really was (Birkenmaier, Berg-Weger & Dewees, 2014). As for working with different clients, individuals, families, groups, and communities, the process will be the same in some ways and differ in others. Lastly, working with communities is similar, again, to working with individuals, families, and groups; however, it differs in the sense that the worker will focus on an entire community and how that group was involved in their work versus the smaller units that are above (Berkenmaier et al, 2104).

Mille Lacs County utilizes the quantitative evaluation process very well. The quantitative evaluation process is one in which requires a social worker and client to meet over a period of time allowing the worker to take a variety of different measurements of their client (Berkenmaier et al, 2014). The two most common tools used are single-subject design (SSD) and goal attainment scaling (GAS) (Birkenmaier et al, 2014). Single-subject design is a grouping of evaluative procedures that looks at change in one client over a period of time; in addition, the worker is typically measuring things such as action, feeling, or behavior and these measurements are gathered by frequency or standardized scale that yields a numerical result (Birkenmaier et al, 2014). One of those ending skills is reviewing the agreement for work and that is simply finishing and reviewing the work that has been done together as well as the contract that was made between worker and client (Berkenmaier et al, 2014). This is important in the termination process because it allows the worker and client to sit down and review the original contract and/or revised contract and make sure everything has been completed. It also allows the worker and the client to talk and see if either the worker or client has any changed views or understandings of the agreement and if so, to make sure that everything is clear before terminating services (Berkenmaier et al, 2014). The second ending skill that is used with individuals is processing successes and shortcoming. Processing successes and shortcomings is when a worker sits down with a client and together they go through and discuss the aspects of the process that went well and those that did not (Berkenmaier et al, 2014). I believe this process to be very important because it allows both the worker and the client to reflect on the services that took place and to give each other feedback on what could have gone better and/or could go better in the future. As a social worker I believe that it is vital to listen and get insight on the client’s point of view because that will allow them to grow as a professional and be better for cases to come. Overall,
