Within the health care community, there are a variety of roles that have to be filled in order to maintain the quality of patient care. There are many that are responsible for said care of a patient. The first being a nurse practitioner who is someone who has more advanced clinical training than that of a registered nurse (AANP, 2015). They are becoming the choice for more and more patients as their regular doctors may not be available at the time they are needed.
