Quality and safety as a nurse is a huge responsibility. During my studies at WGU I obtained a certificate from The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI). Durning my studies through IHI and WGU, I have expanded my knowledge to apply safe nursing practice, quality driven patient care and increase my confidence in my training. The IHI certificate will benefit me as a nurse working in the hospital setting. Nurses are the ones that follow doctors orders to provide treatment and administer medications to the patient. It is important to have this knowledge that I have gained through IHI in order to deliver safe and quality driven patient care. As a nurse I strive to provide quality care and provide my patient's with a safe environment.
