Realizing that the course is almost finished, gives a nice feeling of a small accomplishment. When you think of the time spent on reading the textbook, listening to the videos, and writing assignments, which is the valuable time you took from your family, you know that it is not wasted time. Every thought you put into topic gives you a new perspective on many complex issue involved in the nursing career, the new ideas that you can implement in your practice, and hopefully make the nurses’ work even more enjoyable and satisfying. The most beneficial topic for me seems to be subject about quality improvement process and a concierge medicine. Regardless the place where we work, there are so many areas in nursing practice that required quality improvement. It can be the fall prevention, safety of medication administration, medication reconsoliation, or protocols for detection of multiple drug resistance bacteria. The knowledge about the improvement process empowers me and gives me stronger voice when the time for discussion about the necessary changes comes.
