Integrity is one thing that I find is crucial for all leaders to have strength in. After all, a leader without a strong sense of responsibility and awareness of themselves, cannot truly be a strong leader. I have been in numerous leadership roles. I have captained four different soccer teams, I have been selected for a leadership group, called Leadership Academy, and I have been inducted into and recommended for various groups for my leadership qualities. Therefore, I have been in many situations that have required leadership and responsibility. I have learned a lot about leadership through my own experiences, as well as from watching others. A leader needs to have a firm understanding of themselves, what they stand for, and how they handle situations. They need to understand that being a leader is not always easy or fun, and it certainly is not a role for someone who just wants a title. Often, I have found, the best leaders are the ones who go undesignated to that title. This is due to the natural passion that they have or because of their goal oriented mindset.
Over the years, I have watched my peers, captains, friends, coaches, and teachers act with leadership. Each one has their own style, however the ones that have stuck with me the most are the ones that have made my experiences either really positive or drastically negative. The ones who have had a negative impact were, like I mentioned early, individuals who only cared about the title. These are people
