From its strong financial infrastructure to its agricultural growth, the country of Qatar has seen an industrial growth recently throughout the years. Its rich historic past and political structure contain a wide variety of variables contributing to its unique atmosphere and cultural life style. Qatar is truly a majestic oasis in the Middle East. Qatar has a very deep historic and well-kept culture. According to Oxford University (2016), culture is the ideas, customs, and social behavior of a particular people or society. The demographic of the country is also intriguing. Encyclopedia.com (2007), establishes Qatar being 11,437 sq. km (4,416 sq. mi) protruding northward into the Persian Gulf. The peninsula extends over 100 miles into the gulf. The country is bordered by Saudi Arabia to the west and boasts 350 miles of coastline. The countries capital, Doha, is a modernized city located on the coastline. The city holds numerous water parks, exquisite museums with rare artwork from around the world, modern skyscrapers, and man main public islands. The city alone is home to over 1,351,000 residents. Stated by GlobalSecurity.org (2016), the peninsula is ruled by the Al Thani family as a monarchy ruled by an Emir. The current Emir is Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
