Mathematics: Pythagoras Contribution To Society

If you've ever taken a math class before then you have probably heard of the Pythagorean Theorem. Although, few people know that there is a man associated with this famous method of the Pythagorean Theorem. His principles had an effect on western ideas. His name is often associated with mathematics, but his contributions to society should also be recognized. Pythagoras was born in ancient Greece, and developed many ideas which influenced religion, mathematics, and philosophy. Pythagoras was born in 570 BCE, in Samos Ionia. This was a region in Ancient Greece, and known as a Greece colony, but is now in modern day Turkey (The Editors of Encyclopedia, Pythagoras”). One may agree that Pythagoras religion Pythagoreanism because he created unity and brotherhood. Pythagoras created a government system to make everyone equal such as on the same social and economic status rather than make different social classes like they did in his other origin. Pythagoras also contributed to society by creating Pythagorean Theorem which is used in geometry, which is used for finding a missing side of a triangle with the formula A squared plus B squared equals C squared. This influence today's society’s because if it wasn’t for the Pythagorean and Theorem we wouldn’t be able to solve problems such as irrational numbers which include the square root and being the speculation on geometrical figures. Finding angles of a triangle or a square helps manmade object be built and create these beautiful skyscrapers or architectural buildings. it is because of Pythagoras working with the Pythagorean’s to create this useful formula for solving simplistic geometry and algebraic
