The construction of the Colosseum and the Pyramids are similar because the pyramids took about 10 to 20 years to build and the colosseum took about six to eight years to build. Both of the buildings took a long time to make and they both used or are thought to use slaves. This definitely impacted the lives of Egyptian workers, because as shown in the documentary, after discovering the bodies of workers, it was determined that many of them had broken backs, most likely from carrying heavy blocks of stones. The remains of the ramp were discovered near the pyramids, and it is predicted that after the workers completed their task of building the pyramids, they simply destroyed the ramps because they didn’t need them anymore.
