“Oh no, you stay here and watch the house.” Shaking his head, he watched the hound go to the back door and stopped. After, Mr. Cassidy opened the door and went to the liquor cabinet, made another drink before he sat down on the sofa. “It is hell being old and alone, but I have my buddy Claude to keep me company.” Grinning, he finished his drink and went to get another one.
“I want to get out of the house,” Mr. Cassidy said after several drinks, he wasn’t feeling any pain as he went to the backyard to get the old grocery cart he used to collect the cans and bottles. He was a custom to people yelling at him to get out of their way or buy new clothes to improve the looks of their neighborhood. Now, he just ignored them and finished his mission.
