By definition, human nature is the different characteristics (thinking, attitude, feelings) created in ourselves by God. Many scholars and philosophers approach the concept of human nature by using different schools of thought. For instance, the Buddhists’ opinion about human nature is to be conscious and to aspire. Whereas Judeo-Christian’s point of view is that humans are God’s creation that has free willpower providing them dignity and ethical danger [1]. Aristotle and Plato are the prominent figures in the western culture whose ideas on human nature became dominant and adapted over time. Plato is a dualist (there is both soul and body) but he emphasized on human soul …show more content…
Therefore, he gave the thought that both human body and soul contributed to the human nature [1]. So, the concept of human nature is very controversial. But in simple words, we can claim that the human nature set the basis of human development. Natural is something we cannot choose. Despite the individual and cultural variations, human nature remains the same. Human nature is simply the way we tend to act established on our intuitive and …show more content…
First of all, what is traditional inheritance? The process of passing on the genetic information from parents to off-springs is known as inheritance. Every child receives genes from both of their parents and these genes are the building block of heredity. That’s why the family members incline to share the similar characteristics. For instance, height, hair color, eye color, skin color, and intelligence etc. These characteristics can be desirable or less desirable. Besides physical trait, unfortunately some genes might carry disorders e.g. heart disease, cancer, obesity, down syndrome etc. and these abnormalities can vary from minor mutation to major mutation. The genetic disorders are due to different types of genetic inheritance; 1. Single gene inheritance (e.g. sickle cell anemia) 2. multifactorial inheritance (e.g. diabetes, high blood pressure) 3. Chromosome abnormalities (e.g. Turner syndrome) 4. Mitochondrial inheritance (e.g. mitochondrialenchepalopathy) [7]. These cases are the direct result of a mutation in a gene and no person will like to pass on these diseases to their progeny. Regarding this, we can apply the concept of human enhancement through a cellular reprogramming that can help in treating the hereditary diseases and will not impact
