Additionally, even today I continue to learn from my dad and I’ve always had a passion to learn everything about the latest technology and an aspiration to contribute my own ideas to products that I love. Procuring my degree at University of Texas at Austin will sanction my pursuit of a career in electronics engineering, and enable me to design productions I’m passionate about and that will enhance peoples’ lives. To achieve my goal I need a degree in my field, the school I would like to enroll in is the University of Texas at Austin, this is the best choice in my situation because it is top ranked for my field and would be in state tuition. By this time in my career I should have moved up from starting salary and be earning around $90k annually, the average salary for an electronics engineer; I would like to be a team lead or higher and would be trusted with higher responsibilities than when I first began (“Electronics Engineer Salaries.”). As an electronics engineer I would have regular hours and be paid salary; however, I may have to put in additional hours when needed to meet deadlines, also while most electronics engineers don’t travel often, sometimes it is necessary ("Electrical and Electronics Engineers.”). After evaluating a possible budget for myself in 14 years, I have concluded my lifestyle from this salary won’t be extravagant by any means but it will provide well for myself and my family and allow us to have a little more fun and perhaps go on vacations. My wife could work if she chose, but if she chose to be a stay at home mom and take care of the kids that would be okay as well, we would be in a situation where I could provide single handedly, but her working would provide extra income if she chose to. Additionally, in this field there is room for advancement, often the hierarchy is established by experience, eventually moving up to a senior engineer and then possibly a manager for other engineers;
