Pursuing My Career As A Social Worker

The purpose of this volunteer experience that I plan to attend is to learn my career as a social worker. The reason is that I chose to volunteer in tutoring program related to social worker is that I am familiar with taking care of children. The volunteer experience is also meaningful since I get to know the experience of tutoring children. It also means that I get understand the feeling of being social worker involving in tutoring by knowing the experience to be engaged in learning. Hopefully social worker can also gain specific knowledge that they need in order to for them to develop and learn. For starter the specific knowledge that I want to develop is being able to learn to communicate, interact, and engage with people especially with children. This also applies to volunteering as well of other aspects of my personal life that I can improve and change. I want to improve and change my behavior for not being more active and participating. So I need to focus on my areas of my life to be strong, hardworking, and listening with other peoples of my life by applying to volunteer. Hopefully people that plan on becoming a social work can also focus on professional development goals. It is also good that I have professional development goals by volunteering to do professional work at the social work agency. It can help me by improving on literacy skill, math skill, and communication skill in order to be a social worker. I can improve by going volunteer placement to tutor the children in order to improve my social work skill. Tutoring the children can help me with my improvement on my communication skill.
