Pursuing in higher education will enable me to gain a deeper insight into learning, as I, thoroughly appreciate learning and will go to great depths in ensuring that I achieve my greatest potential. Studying child nursing will be a great love of mine, not only to discover the complications of work and situations, but to learn about Nursing in all aspects of the field. I have felt this way from a situation that aroused when I when young, I found myself caring for younger brothers and sisters, adopting motherly actions, I changed them, washed them, fed them, took them to school, etc. This has enabled me to have a head start on basic care of babies, infants, and older children that I can take into nursing and apply it to my studies and practise. …show more content…
Level has been pleasing, learning about many aspects in all different areas has been rewarding, and it has enabled me to also expand on certain qualities, such as, being able to understand certain situations and to feel empathy towards individuals in situations, and look at an induvial holistically.
Studying Communication and Discrimination in Health and Social Care has aided me to understand problems within nursing such as, dealing with all kinds of people from all different cultures, this has taught me that it is important to respect an individual no matter their race, culture, etc. Applying this to nursing, I can find ways of easing a child, or adolescents as it can be daunting and scary.
Studying Anatomy and Physiology and Nutrition in Health and Social, has enabled me to understand nutrition and the effects it will have on individuals. Such as, understanding that certain conditions have a knock on effect to other problems, as an individual may have asthma, not only is their lungs not working properly their self- esteem may be effected too, so conclusively, can lead to mental health

This has taught me the importance of documenting, and confidentiality as well as. I am also currently a volunteer at a local Nursing home, (I’m not but I need to include this I start soon) Also, I worked closely with the family childminding business, through this again I learnt skills such as communication, leadership and responsibilities through the work or planning and doing activities with the children. I also have done various small short courses, I have knowledge in many aspects of nursing since I took on the opportunity of involving myself into mini courses which is a program where you devote time into completing a course from 2 weeks to 6 weeks for each course, the courses I have done are: Measuring and valuing health, where I gained a deep understanding of patient reported outcomes, QUALY’s and much more. Caring for Vulnerable Children, i know that this can sometimes be something that is difficult to deal with, coming from a harsh background myself, being a vulnerable child I know what they’re going through, so I can apply my knowledge of support as well as medical assistance.
