I never thought that I would be pursuing a career as a nurse or anything in the health and science category. Ever since I was a little kid I’d always dreamed of being a fashion designer. I’d have my future laid out right in front of me. As I grew older I had realized that I had a passion for helping people. I knew I didn’t want to be a policeman or a firefighter, then while I was thinking what I wanted to be I realized nursing was an excellent choice! “Why not a doctor and just a nurse?”, people ask. I say a doctors have are limited to their specialized field whereas nurses are able to travel to different units. The job I chose was a registered nurse. The starting salary is $45,850. The first job which is in San Antonio,TX at the Adrian L. Murphy VA hospital, is a position as a registered nurse-nurse manager. The starting salary is $56,000. In order to get this job I must pass a pre-employment exam, designated and/or random drug test, background/security check, and I must be proficient or spoken english. The next job which is in Tampa, FL is a positions as a staff physician. The starting salary is $49,000. In order to get this job I must pass a pre-employment exam, designated and/or random drug test, background/security check, and I must be proficient or spoken english. The last job which is in Fayetteville, NC, is a position as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. The starting salary is $53,000. The first college is University of Houston, which is located in Houston,TX. My major is nursing my minor is Health. The prerequisites are taking the SAT’s or the ACT’s, my high school GPA must be a 2.5, the high school courses I must take are english, math, laboratory, science, and social sciences. The next college is the University of Florida which is Gainesville,FL. My major is nursing my minor is theatre production prerequisites are the SAT test, a score of 19 on the reading, math, and english/writing ACT tests. My high school GPA must be a 2.0 or higher. The high school courses I must take are english, math, natural sciences, social studies, and foreign language(recommended). The third college I picked was Campbell University, which is in Buies Creek, NC. My major is nursing my minor is in theatre
