Pursuing A Career In School Psychology

I have always strived to pursue a successful educational career. I dreamed for it, I planned for it, and made it happen. And although I have faced adversity, I maintained my dream to keep on growing. I recently graduated with my bachelors degree from UC Santa Cruz, which didn't come easy. But, proudly I can say is that it has been my most valued accomplishment.

Pursuing graduate study would mean being an example to my family that if you believe in yourself, you can make anything happen. I would become the first in my family to achieve a post baccalaureate study at an institution. My parents only made it to middle school and risked their lives to attain a better life in America. Succeeding to attend graduate school would mean not only the world to me, but to them as well.

Becoming a school psychologist would mean making a difference to a student who needs help learning to their full potential. Every student should have the opportunity to receive an optimal learning
