Pursuing A Career In Nursing

As a fourth grader, my dad was in a bad car accident and his pickup rolled over him. While the rest of my family worked and helped on the farm, I was left to care for my dad. This was when I realized my passion to help people and to pursue a career in nursing. Once I was old enough, I became a certified lifeguard. Part of the training included becoming CPR and first aid certified. This particular job gave me basic medical training that could save someone’s life in an emergency situation. For the last couple of years, I have held a job at our local flower shop. Through this job, I have encountered many different people in many different situations.
