1. Please discuss why you are interested in this position:
I am interested in the Student Intervention graduate assistantship because my career aspiration and path in Higher Education includes Student Conduct/Student Intervention. While deciding if student affairs was the right career path for me, my mentor, the director of student conduct at Robert Morris University, urged me to research a position and goal that would help me choose what my focus in higher education would be.
While I knew I wanted to work in the student life office, because I wanted to be able to impact the lives of all different types of students at a university, I didn’t know what I wanted my focus to be. After much research

    As an attendee of a Liberal Arts school, all these definitions explain what skills and attributes a student wishes to acquire while attending Ottawa University! In my opinion, the second definition is primarily what I think of when “liberal arts” comes to mind; in fact, as an engineering major there are many things I need to master in order to become a great problem solver, but my education needs to provide more than just math and science to be successful in life.
