By far the proudest moment as a member of Phi Delta Theta that I have experienced would have to be one of our philanthropic fundraisers PhiMadness. I was in charge of the fundraiser and all the additional things that came along with it. This fundraiser soon meant more to me than ever when earlier the week of the event a post was made on the Facebook page from a previous co-worker of mine. It reveled in the post that her husband was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), which happened to be what Phi Delta Theta was raising money for. For example, I spent over two hours making my bulletin board for the month of October and I was really proud of it but I was even more proud of it and of myself when Pam stopped me in the hallway and told me that she really liked it too. Getting recognition from someone higher up and knowing that they are appreciating the work that I did was really reassuring and made me feel really good. Another example would be that I put a lot of effort into making myself uncomfortable so that my residents could feel comfortable coming to me with any kind of issues that they might be having.
