There are four main points to the EYFS these are; Unique child, Positive relationships, Enabling environments and Learning and development. These are to break down the child’s learning, to ensure they are meeting each criteria. The EYFS has been produced to support practitioners to judge each child’s development accurately. ! !

When referring to the four themes this enables you to plan activities suitable to a child’s needs for example if you want to see if a child is able to hold a pencil correctly you could add this to your planning and once this is achieved you can mark it off within the EYFS.! !
1.4 Early years settings are inspected and evaluated on the following sectors; the upkeep of all children's records and sufficient policies and procedures for the workplace.They ensure children are safe and that all their needs are being met. They look at all the qualifications and training that staff members hold to ensure they are suitable for caring for children. They ensure that all risk assessments are in place incase of any hazards, how effective adults communication is with all children so that care and education is being provided. How effectively and efficiently available resources, including training, are used and managed to meet the needs of children and to achieve high-quality outcomes. The extent to which inclusive practice is promoted so that all children’s welfare needs are met and all achieve as well as they can.! !
