“What is the purpose of life?” (Robinson 59). Your element is your passion and makes your life extra enjoyable. Exploring your options is a great idea because who knows what will happen. Not finding your element isn't ideal because it leads to a happy and complete life.
What's the point of trying to find your element? For one, it can lead to having a job that you love. For example, Debbie Allen elements are her careers, "...career in dance, acting, singing, producing, writing, and directing..."(Robinson 114). Another example would be Matt Groening who loves drawing and now is, "...known around the world as the creator of the Simpsons,..."(Robinson 5). Jacinta Hays's element is helping animals. She is a veterinarian and loves her job. These people have found their element and love their job, therefore, they have found their full and complete life.

It's also finding an environment and a group of people you love. In the book, The Element, it talks about Meg Ryan, the actress, and how she hates delivering public speeches. She even went to college to study journalism, not acting. When meeting the people involved, she fell in love with it and found it intriguing. Megan Chambless thought that she was going to devote her life or high school career to acting. When she tried band for the first time she fell in love with the environment. Now she has quit theatre and has joined the CHS JV Marching Band. Morgan Chambless was asked by her dad if she wanted to play softball and she responded, "Daddy no." Then he offered to get a team of her friends and she agreed. Now she plays select softball and loves it. Once you find your environment and element then you can find your happiness and full
