1. My definition of family is when you need help they are there right by your side to help you. I feel like this is the main purpose of family because family is important because they are the ones that will always have your back and that will love you no matter what happens. Family can drive you crazy but, family can also help you achieve many of your goals because they are always rooting for you to succeed. When I think of family I think well it is people that love and care about me and who support most of my decisions. I think with your families support and love that as a good family member you can love and support your family too.

Kent even though he is not blood related he is part of the family and when the king decides to become a poor man for decide Kent helps and supports his decision. Also in the story support is shown when the two sisters support each other because they both think their father is going crazy and should be out of their way. In this story Kent shows us the aspect of family always by your side because he had been by the king’s side and even though he got banished he changed the way he looked and talked so that once again he was by the king’s side till death. In this story they support each other in many weird ways like when Cash broke his leg they all supported each other that they needed to go to the doctor. It is also shown in this story that they love each other no matter what because when the family finds out that Daral burns down Gillespies barn and is arrested at their mother’s grave they all love him even though he made a mistake. Family can help you achieve goals is shown in the story As I lay dying because their mother asked to be buried in Jefferson and their father Anse wouldn’t let anything like the river being too high or stopping to long and the family supported their father in achieving his goal to get his wife buried where she asked him to bury her. This family made each other crazy but along the way they kind of learned to get along but they also started to support each other like why Jewel was so attached to that horse of his or why Dewey Dell wanted to get rid of the baby we see a change from this family from the beginning of the story to the end. So in this book As I Lay Dying it shows how the family loves and cares about each other like when Vardaman said he missed his mother Daral took him and had him lay against the coffin and said can you hear her and this just shows that Daral cared and loved Vardaman and wanted him to be happy

Both messages convey how difficulties and differences among families push us to become better families, much like my own. About six months ago, my grandpa had died of cancer, but before that tragedy, my family was definitely in a rough patch. My dad and his six other siblings are spread out across the Midwest, therefore it is hard to come together as one big group. It became customary to seeing only one third of my family at any of my holiday potlucks at my grandparents’ house.…

Family is the theme I saw most in the second half of the novel. Family is all Cocoa and George have longed for and all they are surrounded by. George, the orphan longs for a family and children of his own. While Cocoa refuses to even entertain the notion of children as she still is getting used to being constantly around George. The rest of the story revolves around the aspect of creating a family, which eventually occurs.…

Drama Cyclone: Family in King Lear In King Lear by Shakespeare, families get broken apart by greed, hatred, and thunderstorms. The whole play revolves around a king and his daughters’ interactions when he gives them most of his kingdom. The entire family gets swept up in a humongous wave of drama as everyone except the youngest daughter starts backstabbing each other. There is also a subplot that mirrors the main story, with two brothers and their dad in a power struggle; the whole thing feels a bit unnecessary to the main story, however.…

Today, most people don't realize the importance of family. They prefer to spend most of their time with their friends. This pact allows the identities of these characters to develop parallel to each other as they work for a common purpose. They also force the identities of people loyal to Lear and Gloucester such as Kent and Cordelia to adapt to the hostile environment in which they occupy. These characters develop into the protagonists of the play as they become the victims of injustice in King Lear. Another form of injustice in King lear is the race for power and the treasonous behavior many of the characters use to gain power. Again, we see Lear being betrayed by his “loving daughters” Goneril and Reagan.…

What is family? Defining family is not simply and academic exercise and even experts on the family still have trouble defining it. According to the Census Bureau, the current definition of a family is “two or more people united by blood or legal degree (law).” A more descriptive modern definition would be viewing family more as psychological bond, a group of close people who care for, respect, and love one another. In the US today, families are organized in many ways.…

Family, a familiar term that can be defined in various ways. Some may define family as a group of people who are related to each other by blood, others as people who care one another. The traditional definition of family is a intimate group of two or more people who live together in a committed relationship, care for one another and any children, and share activities and close ties. I would define a family as a group of two or more people who share an emotional bond with one another, by blood or not. I will discuss my family of origin and my fictive kin.…

By definition, a passion is a strong and barely controllable emotion. We live every day following a passion on guiding us to the necessary tools of daily motivation. Beginning off, I am passionate about learning and getting the proper education I need to further myself in life. Reason being, my mom, and dad had never been a “helicopter parent” when it came to grades; they would just look over my work, check in with me now and then to make sure I was doing what I am supposed to be doing. Therefore, I needed to push myself to be aware of what I had to do to prove to them that I am responsible.…

What is a family? From what I believe was have been taught, family is a close bond held by individuals who are related by blood or marriage. This group can include; mother, father, children, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, grandparents and great grandparents. In some families there could be “step” relations as well, due to divorce and remarriage. The key, I feel, is that just because you are family does not mean you are going to like each other or get along.…
