Purpose Of Evil Essay

In the words of Brian Wilson, “I was sitting in a crummy movie with my hands on my chin, oh the violence that occurred seems like we never will (epigram)…” I, we have all dealt with evil in our lives. Weather it is brought on by ourselves, our family members, our sins, is not the question. The real question is what is the purpose of evil, what is it, and how can we rid ourselves of it? Evil’s purpose is to corrupt. It is trying to rid you of your values, your beliefs, your faith. It will try to do this in many ways. It may try to kill you, it may try to change you, and it may even go after others who you care about, just to play mind games with you. To put it in simpler terms, evil is like a bad boyfriend. They may seem nice, but in the back of their mind they have different plans, ones you may be okay with at first but will come to regret when one has matured… Evil, evil is often personified as more of an action, rather than a thought. All I am saying is no one’s perfectly good. Now back to the question at hand. In the more modern times in which we live in, people associate evil with hatred. Hatred, hatred, can you think of any particular groups people stereotypically hate? I can, I can. Terrorists, terrorists are usually considered evil, perhaps the great Satan themselves.
