When the United States decided to join World War II, it impacts the citizens on the homefront by forcing them to work harder to aid the soldiers abroad, so that the the U.S. would have better chance of winning the war. The whole reason why the United States joined WWII was because they were deliberately attacked by the Empire of Japan. On December 7, 1941, Japan bombed the naval base in Pearl Harbor, with the intended goal to destroy the Pacific Fleet and other military supplies that was located there. On that day, 2500 men died, with another 1000 wounded. Although the attack did heavy damage, the Japanese attackers were not successful in destroying the whole Pacific Fleet.…

December 7th, 1941, was a day that all Americans, and everyone else around the world, will forever remember as the day the Japanese attacked a Hawaiian seaside port known as Pearl Harbor. “Within hours (after the attack) America was deeply embroiled in World War II, both in the Pacific against Japan, and in Europe against Japan’s ally, Nazi Germany” (Background). World War II lasted six years and a day, starting on September 1st, 1939 and ending on September 2nd, 1945. Towards the end of the war, the United States dropped an atomic bomb on two cities in Japan. The bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were necessary in winning World War II. These bombing prevented further bloodshed since the Japanese would not have surrendered otherwise. Another reason these bombings were necessary was because it quickly ended World War II.…
The main rationale of Hitler and the Nazi soldiers during World War II is one that almost everybody in the world knows about. The Germans were fighting an ideological war, based upon the superiority of the Aryan race. The numbers of Jews that were displaced or killed during this invasion was at an extremely high rate, and there is evidence of these migrations all across the European continent. Although the Russian Jews were moved from their home villages, most were able to keep what traditions and customs they had in their new communities for the longest time they could. When Germany invaded the Soviet Union, the Nazis altered the course of life for the many Jews in the country, as there is evidence of this in the story Son From America.…

The definition of the holocaust is a mass scale of destruction or slaughter. In this case of the Holocaust perpetrated by the Nazis it is a unique event that evolved from and takes place in 1933-1945 with the Jew’s being the main target in the eyes of the Nazi regime. The Nazi’s were led by a man called Adolf Hitler, also known as the Führer. He believed that the Jews were blame for the failure of World War One and were the reason why Germany had gotten to such a point where there was mass unemployment, debt and the loss of a military foothold. This spurred Hitler’s hatred for the Jews and ultimately motivated his desire to persecute them.…

It was unquestionable that the 9/11 attacks would send our country directly into a constant state of fear. In an effort to aid American’s fear, the government made border inspections more intense as well as having stricter security and surveillance. In Robert Parry’s article, “America’s Matrix” the main theme that was discussed was how the aftermath of 9/11 produced a false reality, the article discusses how the government passes false messages about weapons of mass destruction and other things that have only heightened the state of fear that the U.S. is currently in. Additionally, a false sense of fear emerged that al Qaeda would sneak across the border and attack America, this lead to the creation of fences, deploying national guard troops, gathering “illegal” workers and expanding border patrols for the purpose of keeping out…
