According to paragraph 2 in the article”We shall shame the faces of many of God's worthy servants, and cause their prayers to be turned into curses upon us till we be consumed out of the good land whither we are going”illustrates how the Puritans want to persecute people who don’t follow god's rules.They want their prayers to be caused into curses until they consume out of the good land.From reading this article I am able to understand how Puritans were more selfish than selfless because they cared more about
