In the year of 1675 the Wampanoags and Puritans battle in King Philip's War, the sole purpose of this war was the final Native American push to get all of the Puritans out of southern New England. With this war lasting only 14 months there were 12 frontier towns that got destroyed during it all. The war was ended shortly after King Phillip was captured and beheaded, some of his supporters if you will call them that escaped and headed north to now present day
