Punishment In Shakespeare's Romeo And Juliet

The story/poem begins with the Montagues and the Capulets fighting. The family have been feuding for the longest. It's not Romeo and Juliet it’s the parents feuding nobody knows the exact reason why it could've been from previous generations. Both families should be punished. Nobody should be pardon’d.

Later in the poem Romeo and the rest of the Montagues sneak into the Capulet party. He initially went to see Rosaline but eventually end up meeting Juliet. Romeo and Juliet kiss in the elevator and the nurse starts looking for Juliet. Juliet goes with the nurse and she eventually tells Juliet that Romeo is a Montague. Right then Juliet knows that their love is forbidden because of the families feud.

Romeo and Juliet ends up secretly getting married. Friar Lawrence marry them. Juliet's father wanted her to marry the prince but that's not what Juliet wanted she wanted to marry Romeo. Juliet goes to Friar Lawrence he gives her a poison that will have her sleep but her parents will think she’s dead. This is a reason that everybody should be punished because she wouldn't have went to Friar Lawrence if they would have just let her marry Romeo and not worry about the families feud.

Romeo never receives the message. Word got around that Juliet was dead Romeo took it very hard. He ended up killing himself. Juliet woke up when he took the poison and she ended up shooting herself. Due to the fact that the families were feuding it resulted in Romeo and Juliet killing themselves.
