The children love pumpkins, growing them,carving them,making a pie from them,then eating the pie.

To chose the perfect pie pumpkin,ideally find a cheese or sugar pumpkin as they're smaller,only about 6 to 8 inches in diameter; therefore sweeter, less grainy textured pumpkins than the usual store jack-o-lantern types.
