When people think of fall, they think of foliage, warm drinks, and everything pumpkin. Pumpkins are practically the greatest talked about fall essential, even though one part of the pumpkin is habitually forgotten about; the seeds, they always get put under the bus. We realize pumpkins have seeds, but they are never talked about. Most don’t know what to do with the seeds, so they just toss them with the rest of the insides. We can now stop that there are ways to turn pumpkin seeds into delicious snacks for all ages. By following these steps one can change pumpkin seeds from a dud to yum.
When making pumpkin seeds the absolutely essential item is the pumpkin. Whether buying a pumpkin or growing one, find a medium-sized pumpkin to get the seeds

Use a spoon or some other type of scooping tool to make this part easier. Have either one or two bowls to put the insides in. If one decides to separate the inside from the beginning use two bowls, but separating the insides later is fine too. This part can be difficult to get everything out, but that’s not important if one decides just to make pumpkin seeds and not to carve a pumpkin later. Make sure all the seeds are out so you can make a big batch.
If one decides to separate the seeds after scooping the insides out, this is the time to do so. Make sure all the orange guts are off the seeds, because if there is any left, it will leave a peculiar flavor when cooked. Throw away the guts and leave just the seeds. Place the seeds in a colander and rinse under room temperature warm water. Make sure they are no longer slimy before continuing to the next part.
With the rinsed pumpkin seeds, place them on a cookie sheet. Preheat the oven to 300°F, then prepare the toppings for the pumpkin seeds. Melt the butter in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Once the butter is melted, pour it over the seeds and mix the seeds around. After the butter is on, sprinkle salt on top, add as much as personally preferred.
