Paige showed me an online site that gave ideas for volunteering projects and fundraising opportunities easy for high schoolers to implement. Featuring programs for the American Red Cross, the local Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, and institutions from foreign regions, the suggested ideas seemed generally bland. Having studied Spanish together for three years, the Pulsera Project stuck out to both Paige and me. As we looked into the benefits of the fundraiser and the application process, we decided that the Pulsera Project not only backed a great cause, but we could also succeed through our support.

This long-lasting effect of the program, combined with my personal satisfaction from volunteering my time, made me want to do more charity work. As I began to volunteer at other local organizations, I also began to participate in Project Love. Through this club, I coordinate and organize diverse and unique projects that other students suggest.
