Pulaski: The Importance Of Theater To Teens

Decent Essays
I think that a theater would be most useful to the teens in Pulaski. For one, a ton of people like teens in Pulaski have to travel out of town to go to a movie theater. If someone wants to see a movie when it comes out, they could just go to a theater. But since we don’t have one in this town, they have to wait till it’s on DVD or spend like 40 dollars on gas to drive out of town, it’s really pointless. My second point is that it would be a nice place for teens to walk to every once and a while and enjoy a movie with friends or family. And there’s a catch to it to, and by that I mean that the theater could close at like 10:00 so teens wouldn’t be stowing away and staying there all night, see what I mean?. And my third and final point is that

Elia Kazan (1909-2003) was an overwhelming and tremendously persuasive constrain in the after war American silver screen, an executive whose sharp instinct and perspicacity made him practically impenetrable to the changes of the declining studio framework and in a perfect world suited to exploit the progressive move towards free creation. Productive regardless of Hollywood's sensational ebbs, Kazan made a gathering of indispensable, sincerely serious and every now and again dubious movies that characterized American film history and mainstream culture. Kazan, who discovered first accomplishment on Broadway in the 1930s, had a striking capacity to reevaluate himself as a craftsman—turning splendidly and easily from stage to screen and, in…

Although technical theatre is not my cup of tea, I did enjoy learning about some of the things. That is why I am choosing to talk about my two favorite things we discussed this semester: scenic painting and drafting. Screen and stage entertainment are very different; although, they seem to have strikingly similar characteristics and have many comparable features that some do not even realize. Stage provides live entertainment that creates a bond with the audience that can be the same plot but performed so differently each time. Screen is filmed entertainment that can have special effects and captivate every single detail but has no real connection to the audience. Usually, how a person feels about stage or screen entertainment is based mostly on preference and somewhat based on the time era they grew up in.…

What does theatre mean to me? As I review the questions provided for me to include in my goal statement, I feel lucky to express how theatre is unique to me and how I structure my everyday life around the dramatic arts. Anytime I act, I relish in the opportunity to be a leader, to help people, and to accomplish my actions with confidence. I started off with this philosophy at an early age and have not forgotten about it since. In my opinion, acting is not solely about the individual’s performance, but about how an individual actor can use their confidence and passion to impact other actors, enhance a production, and inspire the audience.…
