Pui Tak Center was once the On Leong Merchants Association Building where the On leong group used to be. The society also once resided in Mott Street in New York's Chinatown.
The Chinese started coming to Chicago in smaller numbers after 1870,
After the 20th century less than 1,200. Until the 1940s when federal laws only allowed men to enter with only a few exceptions, chinatowns over america were populated with chinese men. Groups called Tongs were formed and were extremely influential, many tongs fought for control over chinatown. The most powerful tong was the On Leong Tong, which was established in November of 1893. However in 1993 the Chinese Christian Union Church bought the building and renamed it the Pui Tak Center. The Architecture of the building clearly reflects its age as it is extremely unique compared to the other buildings next to it. There is clear artistry displayed all over, from the roof to the walls of the exterior.

It acts as a major railroad station and It is currently the third busiest rail terminal in the United States. However, the current union station was actually the second thing built and named union station. It was agreed to build this station on april 1874 by 5 railroad companies, Pennsylvania Company, Burlington and Quincy railroad, Michigan Central Railroad, Chicago and Alton Railroad, and Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad. However Michigan Central decided to back out and continued to use the station that they have previously used (Illinois Central Railroad). The remaining four original companies used the station and the first Union Station was finished in 1881. The Second Union Station was built by the Chicago Union Station Company, and designed by Daniel Burnham.
