Even if the shelter does decide to continue to not adopt out Pit Bulls, there are other options than euthanization. Pit bulls and their different jaws-Pit bulls do have locking jaws – pit bull owner myth exposed is an article that is saying pit-bull have and lock jaw. Which the author states that pit bulls do hold and shake that is the only that I found out that is true about the article that I have read in this article. He then proceeds on saying “Unless a crow bar or break stick is used to pry open a pit bull’s jaws, shooting the dog may be the only way to get the animal to release. Though the pit bulls jaws may not “structurally” lock, they do not release naturally either.” I know for a fact that is not true because I had three pit bulls that lived in the same house together.…

Pit bulls, just like any other dog, want a caring family and a joyous home. Some individuals may argue that pit bulls should not be allowed to be kept as pets due to a few of the vicious crimes they have committed in the past, however, the entire pit bull breed should not be punished for the act of a few of their counterparts. Pit bulls, as long as they have a positive home environment, the proper social interaction, and get plenty of exercise are no more dangerous than any other dog and should be allowed to be kept as pets. Pit bulls, in order for them to behave well, need an owner that will work with them and give them a proper environment. Pit bull is the common name for a type of dog. Formal breeds often considered of the pit bull type include the American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, and Staffordshire Bull Terrier. The American Bulldog and Bull Terrier are also sometimes included. Many of these breeds were originally developed as fighting dogs from cross breeding bull-baiting dogs and terriers. After the use of dogs in blood sports was banned, such dogs were used as catch dogs in the United States for semi-wild cattle and hogs, to hunt and drive livestock, and as family companions, While mixed breed dogs are often labeled as "pit bulls" if they have certain physical characteristics such as a square shaped head or bulky body type, visual identification…

You may be scared of pitbulls or scared that they will attack you, but there are multiple facts that could go against your reasoning. Pitbulls should not be stereotyped as a vicious breed of dog. To begin with, pitbulls may be marked as dangerous in present day, but they used to be known as the nanny dog.…
