When I was doing community service was taking the bus to the different places. My mother did not have a car and she taught me how to use the public transportation, so I did not have to depend on anyone and assist to any event I wanted/want to be part of. Public transportation in Orlando is not the best, but I did not let this limit me, even though it was tiring to wake up 2 hours earlier, wait an extra hour for the bus or walk a couple of miles. This was part of my learning and was part of my formation to become more independent. Since I enjoy going to volunteer I did not mind waking up 2 hours earlier to catch that bus or walk an extra mile to be able to get to the place I was volunteering at. I also see it as a great valuable experience,
