Public services are those services provided to society focused on its welfare. They are considered so important that some of them must be guaranteed by moral questions and in many cases are associated to human rights.
Everyone who work, have a house, a car, or other possessions, pay taxes and this is the way government has to collect money and invest on cities benefits, keeping it conserved and making the public services maintenance.
The main public services are: streets cleaning, garbage collecting, basic sanitation, streets paving, public hospitals, schools, libraries, parks and squares, water and sewer treatment station and policing.

The worst part is federal government accusing state government that they received money to spend and they didn’t do anything to make our lives better, and in return state governors say the money wasn’t enough (how? If they defined the budget previously?) and while this unnecessary discussion happens, people are dying on hospitals with terrible structure and crime rate keeps growing. We just take notice how much money governors collect, when media shows us some politic scandal. Credibility is something that politicians don’t have these days, because population is sure that, even if we get some benefit, there were some kind of bribe scheme they managed to steal money. Their favorite way to steal money is to overprice constructions like Dunas Arena, hospitals and schools.
However, there is a public service that works very well: IRS. It is known in Brazil as Lions. This is the service which verifies how much money companies and people must pay in taxes based on how much they made in a certain period. Again: when the subject is money, everything works
