Depending on where you live, public schools vary on how many people attend them; ranging anywhere from a 1A school district to a 6A school district. Public schools are run by the government, therefore they receive government funding. Since public schools receive government funding, they are able to attend school for free. This is an advantage because not everyone can afford to pay to send their child to school. Public schools offer a lot of more extra curricular activities than private schools and also provide more electives that focus more on future careers that the students may be interested in. Students who attend public schools are also provided with transportation to and forms school. Public schools do have a good education, but depending on where you attend school their will be less one on one interaction between the student and the teacher. More students attend public school than students that attend private school. This is a good thing for students because they are exposed to people from all different backgrounds, this can improve a child 's communication and social skills.
