Enthusiasm can be lost quickly in our position. My goal is to always keep a positive attitude and hope that my Agents do the same. As I see the Agents are being overworked with long hours, I need to ensure I pay attention to their needs. Some people can’t handle the workload of others. Empathy is an important quality I need to maintain and will work to ensure I recognize the needs of others.
The daily protection of a protectee is to live their life alongside of them. Constant change in the schedule is normal. Flexibility is important in our position. If I am able to adapt to the change, it will set an example for the Agents beneath me. While working in a high profile position, you hear and see things that are confidential. Confidentiality is not negotiable. Maintaining confidentiality is my strongest attribute as a professional.
Upholding the use of the other six qualities of a professional will lead to credibility with my Agents, the Department and the protectees that I work with. I lead by example. By implementing the seven qualities of a professional, I am confident it will enhance my leadership abilities in the daily work
