Public opinion is generated by a person values and beliefs. Polling firms collection information to determine what the public opinion is. There are some factors that can negatively impact the quality or validity of a public opinion poll. For instance, there is push polling that saying something negative about a candidate to persuade them to select the other one. There is also the bandwagon effect of polling where influencing people to support a candidate that is the predicted winner. In my opinion the public opinion polls are not legitimate even if they are asking question to an electorate that is largely uniformed on the issues. They can persuade a person too easily and their selection process is inaccurate. Public opinion polls were inaccurate
