Summary & Reflection
1. Public Health Issue: Regis College There is an issue with insufficient parking spaces at Regis College. The lack of parking provokes individuals to park illegally. Parking illegal compromises the overall safety of emergency vehicles and pedestrians. Vehicles that are parked on cross-walks or double parked obstructs the path for emergency responders, which may possibly delay response time. The group presentation was informative. The group went deeper into the topic as they explained factors such as handbook statements, environmental factors, the effects parking has on the pillars of health such as sleep deprivation, and the different subpopulations affected such as freshmen, residents, commuters, and faculty. One of the points that stood out was that teachers have an expectation that students will be attentive and on-time. This expectation is sometimes not met, not due to the students, but due to insufficient parking space. A student’s academic performance should not be hindered by a controllable issue such as parking.
2. Hand Sanitizer
An interesting fact I learned from this presentation was that about the presence of hand sanitizer can increase class attendance to about 20%. The group struggled to answer certain questions asked the by professor, however, overall they had great foundation points

I enjoyed the discussion among students within the class about resident and commuter food availability and experience. A point established and agreed upon by most is that it is difficult to balance nutritious meals with the tight schedule students are limited by. The conversation was a little lengthy, however, it was the most I have observed the class talk the whole semester. A quote I recall is “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade,” a classmate commented that the salad bar is always an option, and there something can always be made with what is

MSU Campus Parking Policies Whether you go to a university or a community college, you will likely find yourself encountered with the troubles of campus parking. Some campuses have policies that are stricter than others. If you are a student at Mississippi State University, you might consider their parking policies to be absurd. I am currently attending my freshman year at Mississippi State University and I must say that the only complication that I have had is with the parking policies.…

Based off of the decision matrix, the best choice for West Warwick is the Need for the parking at the complex. Ridding of the parking spaces at the complex is a very dangerous thing to do to students. Based off of information that is clearly able to be seen, there are much more than thirty student vehicles that park at the school’s complex. If those parking spots were replaced with thirty spots in the teacher’s parking lot, there would be countless amounts of students without a spot and no way to get to school. The only other way I can see them getting to school legally is to walk or get dropped off (which defeats the main purpose for kids getting a car other than a job).…

The main problem that we plan to run into is funding. Seton Hall already provides a smaller and not as well put together commuter lounge. We suppose it will be difficult to convince them that a new and improved lounge is a smart use of their money. This problem will be tackled with simple statistics. Currently commuters make up about 35% of the population here at Seton Hall which means their is a definite need to please these students who make up such a large part of the school's population.…

From the observation, I spent ten minutes every day in the parking building. I found no matter how hard to find the parking spot, people are not trying to be there early. They will leave sufficient time “they think that is” for themselves to find parking spot. But, usually this time is not enough.…

Through the progression of this course, various aspects of history were viewed, in addition to concepts that are still associated to the lives of Aboriginal peoples today. While carrying some previous, biased knowledge on the topics discussed, First Nations Studies allowed the development of many ideas as well as the differing perspectives on each. Via the use of assorted reading selections, tutorial discussions, guest speakers, lectures, and a variety of other forms, I was able to take away a unique understanding, different to the one I had prior, which in turn educated me on Indigenous communities. This course attempted to bypass the anger that has been accumulated over the years, and portray information in order to avoid further issues…

Procedure We conducted a naturalistic observational study at the two crosswalks between 8:00 am and 9:30 am on a weekday. We recorded data at each location in intervals of 20 minutes. While collecting data, we sat near bus stops within view of the crosswalks in order to reduce subject reactivity. Data was collected by each researcher according to the previously stated and agreed upon operational definitions. Each researcher recorded one variable: car type, car color, group size, and car stopping.…

What was our purpose and what did we do tonight? Our purpose in session 10 was to follow its agenda: recall chapter 9, cover chapter 10 and finish up with all of the assigned presentations. The NWSCC Parking Problem

A common problem at NWSCC is people not park their car in between their line, and students parking in visitor spots and/or teacher slots. This becomes a problem because some people will park to close to you, and as a result they hit your car. I personally have had my car dented twice due to this problem. Furthermore, people not parking in between starts a chain of drivers not parking in their line, and as a result messes with a parking spot someone could have occupied. It becomes even more of a problem when students do it on the first parking spot line.…

Some students that attend to Delgado complain about the parking and the parking decals. The parking for students are limited to the “yellow” lines and the teachers/faculty are limited to the “white” lines. I have come to believe the school is limited on parking for students. Reasons being is with the school building more buildings and expanding them, it takes up some of the parking lots. Parking lots are around building 1, building 10, building 2, and the student life center.…

My lungs shouldn’t have to suffer from cancer sticks due to someone else smoking in my walkway path to class.…

The application also shows customers with real life statistics with amount of percent the parking deck is full. The application is free to the users with no account to sign up or go through verification process to run the app.…

Over the course of this class, I have learned many new things about diet, health, and proper nutrition for a long life. Without learning these very important things, I may have just continued on my old diet, which was not healthy in the least. I have now seen a real proper diet, complete with all different food groups and everything in between. I am grateful for this class, because otherwise, I would probably still have that unhealthy diet. Nutrition taught me a lot, and I am ready now to follow all that it taught me, and I think I have the knowledge now to teach the people around me about it too.…
