Before I read the public health article, I see the word “informatic” as math, science, information, and data collection because they are relevant to each other and I believe the word “informatic” came from “information.” In the same way, when I see the word “public health,” something that deal with science, wellness, environment, and population health issues came into my mind. According to the textbook of Public Health Informatics and Information Systems, they described public health informatic as information of science and technology that promote the health of population, prevention diseases and intervention at all vulnerable points in the causal chains, and operate with government agencies.
