Public Dog Parks In Cities

Decent Essays
I believe that public dog parks should be built in cities. They provide a large space where dogs and their owners can play, exercise, and socialize. Dog parks would improve dogs behavior, prevent pet owners from illegally running free without leashes on, and raise property values.

Living in a big city has its advantages and disadvantages and caring for a dog can sometimes be a difficult task especially when there’s nowhere to let them roam free. Building and funding a dog park would eliminate this issue. It also creates an environment other than empty lots and city parks where dogs can be free legally.

Dog parks in cities would also reduce bad behavior in dogs such as barking and biting in result of not getting the resources

In the argument about dog parks for residents with pet dogs, I totally agree that they should be provided with a park for their animals. I agree because, i dont think a simple walk around the neighborhood is not to much exercise on a daily. Exercise is important to dogs' mental and physical health. Also another reason would be because according to (ASPCA) "dogs that dont get exercise can act out at home by barking or destroying things at home. Socializing is important too.…

In addition to spending in local towns due to visitation of national parks, they also provide a source of jobs. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park alone provided 12,759 jobs in 2014 (Cullinane Thomas, C., C. Huber, and L. Koontz). These jobs helped with keeping the park open to the ten million people that visited the park in 2014. It is important that Congress allocates more funds for the National Park Service because of the jobs that these parks provide. If Congress reduces the funding for national parks, like it has in recent years, than parks are forced to lay off employees and close the parks to the public.…

I personally feel like dog parks should be built in cities, for the simple fact that dogs need space to do whatever it is they wanna do. It is by ASPCA guidelines that dogs get plenty of excercise daily for their mental and physical health. Dogs wanna play and run around and have fun, but not all the time is that avialable for them to do if they have to worry about neighbors not wanting the dog to run through the grass or use the bathroom in their yard. Having a dog park would eliminate all those burdens away. A dog park will allow the animals to play not only with owner but other dogs as well.…
