%\addcontentsline{toc}{section}{Activity 1.16} \section*{Activity 1.16} \begin{enumerate} \item The graphs are different because of scaling, and the bar chart A start at zero while the bar chart B start at 25. \item Yes, the graphs tell the same story, even though the scale is different, he used the scale of 20 units in Bar chart A and 5 units in Bar chart B. \item Jairos should use Bar chart B because it represents the information clearly and accurately, In Bar chart A is not easy to tell how many bicycles he sold in June, while in Bar chart B is clear because we can even see that he sold 55 bicycles in June.…
Husky assembly team had a concern in regards to quality of gun drilled holes in columns today. The parts have deep spiral marks all the way thru the features. I understand that these holes can be difficult to manufacture and chips evacuation might be a challenge. Use of optimal cutting parameters and properly maintained tools should help to overcome the challenge. Please, let me know if Triumph made recently any changes to this process and verify condition of the tools.…
An error that is out of our control was the calibration of the pH meter because it was calibrated at two different pH levels before the lab and if they calibrations were off, then the readings for the entire lab were…
Unfortunately, the main cause/s of the errors are unknown but, it is believed to have transpired due to the groups mistake of measuring out both pH 3 and 5…

The results of the experiment were that the product created to determine the coefficients of the coordination complex, KaFeb(ox)c ∙ dH2O. On day 1, K2C2O4 ∙ H2O and FeCl3 ∙ 6H2O were mixed together forming a green solution (Figure 1). The green solution was set aside for 45 minutes in the dark to allow crystals to form (Figure 2).…
1. What is a DNA barcode? DNA barcoding is fast, accurate method of identifying plant and animals, or products made from them. It’s a DNA sequence that uniquely identifies each species of living things by comparing them with known barcodes in large online databases.…
This resulted in a margin of error between trial #1’s experimentally obtained rate and trial #1’s predicted rate being 8.13%. The predicted rate was determined by using the corrected rate law, as well as the corrected average k constant, which is 3.76x10-5 1/sM. The formula used to find the percent error was . The overall percent error between the average predicted rate (calculated with the corrected k constants) and the experimentally obtained average rate, not just trial one’s results, was 2.4%. The percent error could have results from many sources of error. The times were all hand timed and sometimes it was difficult to tell when the iodine had completely neutralized so the times may be slightly off.…
Antacids are a class of medicine which assist to balance the acidity/ pH balance in your stomach. The pH system is a scale which measures how acidic a substance is or how basic a substance is or if a substance is neutralized. Antacids have the ability to give relief for heartburn, indigestion or symptoms of acid reflux. There are many types of antacids such as calcium, aluminum and magnesium. They’re many ways to consume antacids such as liquids, tablets and chewable tablets.…
When solving for the percent of acetic acid present in vinegar the end result of 3.57% was not far off from the standard 4%. The small error could be a result of error in experiment or an actual failure of the acid to meet the federal standard. An example of error in experimentation is while the solution is titrated completely, the flask being swirled is removed from underneath the buret and a drop or two of NaOH can sneak out before the valve is closed. Those few missed drops as well as excess NaOH in titration can affect the accuracy of the results. Human error is almost always a factor for example when measuring any values without digital assistance leaves room for the naked eye to make mistakes.…
The learning objective of the experiment performed was to determine the pH of solutions that were given by using litmus paper and pH machine. The Experiment was kind of successful except for an issue with one of the solutions. When we tried to figure out the pH by looking at the litmus paper; we were stuck between a pH of 6 and 7. The best choice was to choose a number in between 6 and 7.…
Racheal A. Krasner Professor Garfield Beckford CHEM 1211 L 25 September 2015 Lab Report Concerning Acid-Base Titrations The purpose of this experiment was to recognize the procedures for conducting acid-base titrations. Each acid-base titration used one solution to analyze another; it also involved the use of an indicator, which denoted the endpoint of the titration. The indicator used was phenolphthalein; it produced a pink hue when the titrations reached their endpoints – between pH 8 and pH 10.…
Conclusion and evaluation: The titration should be carried out carefully while making sure the color of the neutralized solution is the same for all the trials. This can be done by keeping the first sample aside that can be used for reference of the other trials can do this. The readings should be made accurately to avoid having inaccurate results. While titrating the solution should be stirred continuously to make it mix properly with the acid. During the experiment you should make sure none of the solution sticks to the surface of the glass while being transferred, this could affect the reaction and…
This may have caused the measurements to be off. My ideas haven't changed because i've done this lab before. For future experience i have to look at the broader picture like “what will happen if this isn’t done right”. I now have an understanding on accuracy and precision on how they relate to percent error and average deviation.…
1. Explain the difference between data and information. Give examples of raw data and information. “Data is raw facts, or facts that have not yet been processed to reveal their meaning to the end user” (Coronel & Morris, 2015). It is a building block.…
