Leukemia is a form of cancer that originates in your blood and or bone marrow. The cause for this disease is due to the abnormal white blood cells generating rapidly. Due to their abnormality they are unable to fight infection. When the cancer is undergoing metastasis it can travel through the blood and infect other organs such as liver, the central nervous system and spleen. The cell cycle during this cancer is ultimately altered because of these abnormal cells. This means instead of normal cells differentiating and becoming specialist cells at the end of the cycle, the cancer cells never die and continue to grow and infect the body during mitosis.
